Frequently
Asked Questions
How
am I compensated?
Compensation is performance oriented; that is, the more you sell
the more you earn. A bonus structure has also been established to
reward reps for reaching pre-established sales goals.
What
growth opportunities are available?
Typically a territory is assigned in your local area. Based on
development of this initial territory and the commitment shown to
ArtWare, we will discuss assignment of additional territory. As your
business grows, so too will the opportunities and benefits.
What
type of training can I expect?
After you are hired, you will receive a comprehensive Sales
Training Manual. This manual offers everything you need to get
started in your selling career at ArtWare. Once you have had a
chance to get acquainted with the manual, we will review it with you
in detail. This review generally takes place via phone but if
circumstances permit, the training may take place in person.
You will also receive on-going support, a quarterly
newsletter
with tips and techniques, and the opportunity to attend
the annual National Sales Meeting.
How
are leads generated?
You will be expected to network and develop leads through
referrals, Internet research or by contacting schools in your
territory. Conventions and conferences in your territory are also a
rich source of leads. Often we receive leads and will forward them
to you.
Will
I be an employee of ArtWare?
No. You will be considered an independent sales representative.
However, you will work closely with a manager. This person will
provide motivation, training and assistance with questions or
problems.
What
types of costs will I incur?
Typical costs you will incur include phone, local travel,
personal office supplies, postage, etc. ArtWare supplies all
marketing materials (brochures, sample letters, business cards,
etc.) necessary to promote the program. We also provide sample
products that can be used in presentations or loaned to schools.
ArtWare will supply display booths and support materials for all
conventions, and typically pays the convention fee for two state
conventions per rep each year.
Who
are we looking for?
We are looking for bright, energetic individuals. Experience in
fundraising, art education and/or field sales is a plus but not
required. You will need to be willing to devote 20-30 hours per week
to ArtWare.
How
do I proceed?
If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, we would like to
hear from you. Simply mail, fax or email a copy of your resume and
cover letter to us. Once we receive your resume, we’ll call you.
