Instructions
- Artwork
must be done in school, either through the art department or
in the classroom.
Teachers can use themes relating to their school, students
or an event. Feel free to just let the children’s
imaginations run wild. Please see “Art Ideas” for more
suggestions.
- All artwork needs to be created on paper no larger than
9x12. If the art does
not fit into the envelope without folding… it is too
big. Colored paper creates a visually interesting
colored background. Please do not use lined paper or the
back side of something already printed.
- Markers, oil pastels, crayons and paint work best. Bright
and bold colors are desired.
Paper collage (flat) also works well. Fluorescent or Day-Glo
Papers and Paints, Glitter, Pencils or laminated art can NOT
be used as they do not transfer. No Dimensional art
(macaroni art). If there are unwanted pencil marks on the
paper, please erase them and do not use White Out.
- Children can sign and date their artwork. Just make sure
they leave at least ¼
“ border above or below their name from the edge of the
paper, so that it is not cut off.
- Do not allow children to design on both sides; the back
might show through.
- Every child’s name must be printed in pencil on the back
of each art piece. Indicate
the top of each piece of artwork either with an arrow or the
word “top”
in pencil.
- For place mats, please submit only one piece of art.
Horizontal representation
works best.
- For very young children we suggest using colored paper as it
fills the page.
- We can accept photographs and computer artwork. We cannot
accept any
copyrighted material without proper release forms.
- Please note that we do not alter artwork in any way to
improve the quality of
originals that are submitted.
Please
feel free to call or email with any additional questions.
